General Department InformationThe Maintenance Department of the Worcester Housing Authority maintains almost 3000 public housing apartments consisting of 24 developments throughout the City of Worcester.

Each community has the support of trained custodial staff. Each team member responds to resident requests for assistance, as well as maintaining all common areas and community grounds.
The WHA has a number of skilled, licensed tradesmen including electricians, carpenters, plumbers, plasterers and painters to meet the needs of our families.
Even the most talented team needs strong leadership. The WHA is fortunate to have supervisors with the experience and knowledge needed to get the job done.
More than twenty WHA residents work as apprentices in the landscape, custodian and apartment preparation programs. These hardworking men and women contribute to the overall positive condition of our communities.
Answering resident calls and providing important administrative support, the WHA Control Center staff is an important part of our team.

Work Order ManagementWhen you call maintenance please give us your name, address including apartment number and a description of the problem. Remember to ask for a work order confirmation number. This number will allow you to track your request for work if it is not done promptly.
